Education Management

Since the passing of Bill 51 (the Citizen Initiative Act) in Alberta, a trustee can only be removed by the voters via a recall petition (versus being removed by the board if they disagree with board policies). Do you agree with this?(Required)

Many international students attending our school system pay additional fees. I believe these monies should be solely allocated to developing supports for all ELL (English Language Learning) students.(Required)

According to a 2018 study from the Fraser Institute, there has been an overall drop in Reading, Math, and Science performance in Alberta education in the last twenty years.

The study recommended the following:

1. merit pay for teachers
2. charter schools, and
3. enhanced support for families in their choice of schools.

In your opinion, how can public schools learn and adapt to become more competitive and meet the needs of families?
